Nowadays, in Smartphones, there are so many options available out there in the market to choose from. But how do you know which one to choose for yourself. One wrong choice and you're gone! Here's a quick guide on 'How to Choose a Smartphone?'
Getting started:
1) Choosing OS - The first step is deciding which operating system you would prefer. For smartphones there are: iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows in the top line. But apart from these recently a few OS's too have come for mobile platform such as Ubuntu and Firefox OS. You must choose iOS or Android's latest version 'cause they've more than 7 lac apps in their respective app market. Don't go for Windows phone as it has just came up in the market claiming to have more than 1.5 lac apps but in reality most of them are of no use for us. Blackberry is mostly business centric, if you aren't a business person don't purchase it for just a status symbol.

Before selecting a perfect screen size always put that smartphone in your hands before you buy, to make sure both your eyes and your fingers will be happy.
3) Specs - Choose according to your requirement. Nowadays minimum specs should be as follows:
* Dual Core Processor clocked at 1 GHz
* 1 GB of RAM
* 4 GB Internal Memory
* 5 MP Camera,
* VGA Front Camera
But if you want high-end under the hood specs, then it is as follows:

* 2 GB of RAM
* 16/32/64 GB Internal Memory + External SD Card Slot
* 13 MP Rear Camera
* 2 or More MP Front Camera
4) Battery - Always take a look at the mAh rating for the battery. You don't want to run out of battery while you're working/playing games. So, choose a battery rated above 1700 mAh.
